Battery is a device that can transfer the chemical energy to electrical energy via the reactions between positive and negative.
The basic classification of battery
The main components are: the positive plate, the negative plate, diaphragm paper, cap, can, and insulating layer.
When a battery experiences a charge and discharge, we call a cycle or a period. In the stated charge and discharge principles and the capacity decline before a stated standard, the total cycles it can undergo called rechargeable battery cycle life.
Battery impedance is the resistance when the current flow through an operating cell, in general the internal resistance is included both d.c. and a.c. resistance. For the rechargeable cell resistance is small and electrode is easy to be polarized along with producing a polarization resistance while measure d.c. resistance, the accurate value can’t be measured.
Primary battery or full charged secondary battery, when put aside for a period, it is capacity will decline or lose, this phenomenon calls self discharge that is electricity flee away. It is decided by the inner electro chemistry system, similar to water leakage from pond or reservoir. SUJOR has developed ready to use NiMh Battery whose capacity retention would be more than 80% after 1year, the low self-discharge batteries are widely used for personal care consumer products, such as electric toothbrush, beauty care, shaver, ect.
One of the cells voltages is 0V;
Plugs are short or open circuit, or ill touched;
Lead wires are broken from the soldering or weakly soldered;
Wrong battery connection or the connection tabs are miss or weak weld or broken off.
Charger or charging circuit is not matching to the battery type.
Over charge and over discharge.
Battery type is not matching to the appliance.
For safety consideration, our li-ion battery pack has PCB protection which will protect the battery packs from over charging and discharge. When the li-ion battery is over charging or discharged, the PCB will cut off automatically. Then you may find the battery pack is 0 voltage. This doesn't mean the battery pack is dead. You can just use our charger to charge it, everything will back to normal. Please make sure to use SUJOR's recommended chargers. We are not responsible for other brand chargers. However, this is not applied to battery which hadn't been charged for more than three months. You should charge battery every 3 months to keep it fresh if you don't use it.
Kindly read the information carefully before you use our battery. The battery won't be with fully charge when leave our factory. This is because of safety concern during transportation.
If you want to store our battery for a while, kindly follow instruction as below:
If you have a digital voltmeter, measure the voltage for the battery, it should have minimum 3.5V per battery. If it is a battery with 11.1V(3cells), then it has to be 10.5V min. If it is lower than 3.5V per battery, it needs to be charged as soon as possible. This is to keep the battery fresh.
If you do not have digital voltmeter, then we recommend recharge the battery at least once every 3months.
It would be better to keep the battery at room temperature and lower at 65% humidity(cool and dry). It will help the battery store longer time.
If you get longer usage of our battery, then please follow instruction as below:
Better to recharge the battery after each usage. No worry about the memory effect as lithium ion battery does not have.
Do not drain the battery until the protection board shut it down as it will decrease the battery capacity and shorten life of the battery.
If there is warning of your device about lower power, like your cell phone indicator, please recharge battery according to instruction given by device manufacturer. Over-discharge will shorten the battery life.
Do not leave the battery charged over-night. Remove the battery from the charger when the LED on the charger turns from RED to Green. Over-charge will shorten the battery life.
It appears when charging before energy runs out. The battery will memorize the last remaining power before charging. So charging before energy runs out will shorter cycle life of the battery, Memory effect only happens on Ni-CD batteries
